The VFC AK74M (or AV74M) GBBR marks VFC's first venture into Warsaw Pact-era weaponry in gas blowback format. It features a full-steel construction, including a stamped steel receiver, giving it durability and a smooth finish. The period-correct engravings and realistic dimensions allow real AK furniture and accessories to fit seamlessly. The handguard, buttstock, and pistol grip are made of polymer, and an AK dovetail mount accommodates Warsaw Pact optics like the KOBRA red dot or other side-rail mounts .

Internally, the CNC-machined steel bolt carrier and 22mm cylinder deliver strong simulated recoil impulse. It allows you to adjust the bolt travel travel to either full or half-stroke action, enhancing fire rate or realism. The hop-up unit and inner barrel both use VSR-spec parts for easy upgrades. The AV74M also comes with a lightweight aluminum alloy 42rds magazine with a large 107ml gas capacity, the biggest among AK gas mags on the current market.
